My beautiful mom at Dad's interment

My father's burial 2/25

Obviously, this was a very sad day for us. But I was happy to have my family by my side. My mother was beautiful and strong on a day when she lost her partner of almost 60 years. I will always look up to her and want to be like her in her quiet strength and generosity of spirit.

Martin Luther King Rally

The girls and I marched with cousin Julie and daughter Imani on MLK morning. Friends Stella and Lucy also joined. I love that my young girls know so much more about the legacies and histories of the US than I did even much later. The refreshments weren't bad either.
