Georgia

Here's Georgie and all of us enjoying the year's first snow.

Bill the Dancer

Oh that dog is patient!

Christmas card shot...

I actually took one that looked OK--it's much easier now that the kids are a little older. However, seems that I still can't center the subjects. I think the kids (and Bill) look beautiful anyway. I am lucky to have interesting little people around me.

Bill the Hunter

Bill was all crazy while I was trying to snap a Christmas card photo...He was hunting squirrels.

Kindergarten Graduation

Pearl graduates with honors. She received the big reader award...

I let the kids skip school one day to attend the end of Ramadan party for my students. They were able to eat lots of interesting food and I love that they can interact with people from all over the world--especially from the Middle East--from such young ages. And my students adore the kids, which is great! I'm thankful to have a job I like and that gives me satisfaction--even though sometimes the 30 hours/week seems like a lot of time...

House Colors

These are the new color combinations we were considering for the house. We went with the one on the right. Will post the finished product soon. The painter said he'd come to finish on Thursday. When I pointed out, but that's Thanksgiving, he answered, "Then I will give thanks to God that I have a job." Very profound, but still, I don't really want him out there with all his machinery while we entertain TWENTY--yes, twenty--people inside!

First Date/Dance

Finn's friend from Band, Emily, a SENIOR invited him to Homecoming. I had some fun trying to find him something to wear. In the end, he chose this very cool (and cheap:) ensemble from Urban Outfitters. And yes, she drove...

Happy Helloween!

For Halloween, we had a bat, a rat, and a cat (burglar). These photos are from the Longfellow Parade. It's a "treat" for rme to finally have 3 under one roof for school.

More Fun...

Our friend, Ivan the Donkey
Georgie and Uncle Tommy in Missoula
Georgie's Birthday (#8) at Build-A-Bear--Yikes, the people running the party were a little creepy and the ritual where they cross their hearts and kiss life into the bear? But the girls had so much fun--except the one who wanted a whole outfit, not just a t-shirt for her new friend. I do love my little girls...

Upper Calf Creek Falls July 2009

This was our goodbye hike for the summer. We really love this part of the world and are sad to leave each year. I almost had a heart attack when Brady convinced the boys to jump over the falls--but I was proud of them!

Fish Lake

Here's another shot.

Our Fish Lake Excursion

We took the day off of our toil and labor in Teasdale to do this beautiful hike at Fish Lake. The kids were troopers; the girls kept up. And all in all, we had a blast. Afterwards, we all stripped down to our undies and took a dip in the lake. (Don't know where the photos are.

The Lonely Polygamist cover

This is the cover for Brady's new book (due out in April 2010). There was also a blue version, but we all (even the kids) voted for RED. We can't wait to see the galleys! I LOVE this book. And I'm not just saying that because I'm married to the writer.

See Hector's Bag

Hector loved this crazy recycled Chips Ahoy bag. I'm sure I'll have to buy a new backpack in a week or two...

Finn started too...

Finn's first day at Boise High! I think I was more nervous than he was. He's very coooool about these things.
